The Florida Food Stamp Program (Access Florida)or the Food Assistance Program helps people with low-income purchase nutritional food. A food assistance household is usually a group of people who live in the same home and buy and cook meals together.
Eligibility Requirements For Food Stamps in Florida
-Individuals must show proof of who they are
-Healthy adults aged 18 to 50 are restricted to benefits and must participate in a work or workfare program
-The Food Assistance Program includes most types of income to see if a household is eligible
-Individuals must live in the state of Florida
-Individuals must be a US citizen or have a qualified non-citizen status
-Most food assistance households may possess assets such as bank accounts, vehicles, or property and still receive assistance
-Households with an ineligible member must meet an asset limit of $2,000 or $3,250 if there is an elderly or disabled person living in the home
The Access Florida Program is a special Food Assistance Program for people who receive SSI or Supplemental Security Income. You may be eligible to receive food assistant benefits through the SUNCAP Program without any extra application, paperwork, or interviews.
